A bicyclist is making her way across part of the country to bring attention to the problem of abused children. Jacqueline Gordon is a Wisconsin high school teacher.

She's using her summer break to travel over 2,000 miles by bicycle to raise awareness of the sexual abuse of children. Gordon is a sexual abuse victim. "I want survivors to know that they are not alone. That there is healing available and people to help them."

Victim advocate Donna Grabow: "She's a good success story. She broke through and has worked on all of her issues. And has written a story to help other people see hope at the end of a very dark tunnel."

Gordon's journey began in May. She was in Claremore on Wednesday, she will next head through Missouri and Illinois.

She hopes to end the 2,700 trip on August 9th.
