(Miami, Oklahoma-AP) -- The Miami Tribe could receive a $200,000 grant to help environmental workers clean up methamphetamine laboratories found in Ottawa County.
The grant, which still awaits the approval of the US Senate, is a part of the federal Community Oriented Policing Services Drug Hot Spot program.
The funds will also provide training for workers and provide funds for clean up of meth labs and methamphetamine production byproducts.
Police with the 13th Judicial Drug Task Force have investigated cases that have led to 28 convictions in federal court on methamphetamine-related charges in the last three years.
