An Oklahoma Highway Patrol trooper involved in a rollover accident is improving at an Oklahoma City hospital.

Trooper Jeff Hemphill was driving Robert White to the hospital this weekend. White had been in a single car accident earlier. He was handcuffed because he appeared mentally unstable. At some point, White grabbed the steering wheel, which caused the car to roll over several times.

The trooper could get out of the hospital this week.
