Demotions and changes are coming to the Rader Center in Sand Springs.

The Office of Juvenile Affairs has demoted superintendent John Miller as part of a plan to restore order and confidence at the juvenile lock-up.

OJA administrator Howard Snowbarger will fill in for Miller on an interim basis.

The change comes after a marked increase in violence at the center. 67 assaults on staff members were reported in the 2004 fiscal year. That's up from 27 last year.
