(Waynoka-AP) -- The Cimarron River near Waynoka in northwest Oklahoma is expected to flood.
The area affected extends from upstream from the river gage site near Freedom to near Orienta.
The National Weather Service says the river was at six-point-four feet at 10 this morning. Flood stage is eight feet. The river is expected to flood about 10 tonight and crest at about nine-point-seven feet about 1 p-m Monday.
Agricultural lands, gas wells and rural roads are expected to flood.
The weather service advises residents to evacuate immediately and move to higher ground. It recommends against entering flooded areas and crossing flooded roads.
