(Cashion-AP) -- Firefighters have put out a fire in Cashion after battling it for about 19 hours.

Cashion Fire Chief Danny Clark says the fire started in the Shawnee Mills grain elevator in a room where grain was weighed.

The cause is under investigation.

The fire forced about 200 people out of their homes and everyone out of a 2 to 4 block area Sunday night. Residents were allowed to return to their homes about 1 AM Monday.

No injuries are reported.

Firefighters say a network of grain chutes and very small openings to the rooms made it difficult to get to the fire. Firefighters could only stay in the silos about three minutes before being overcome by heat.
