(Austin, Texas-AP) -- Olympic sprinter Laverne Jones is staking her place in the record books at the University of Oklahoma.

And she's doing it just the way she runs -- fast.

Jones finished sixth last night at the N-C-A-A Track championships in Austin, Texas to become the second female athlete to earn six or more All-America certificates.

Jones is the only one to earn six certificates in only two years.

She completed the 100 meters yesterday in eleven-point-36 seconds.

Jones will run for the U-S Virgin Islands at the Olympics this summmer.
