A review board met Friday to look over the evidence involving a Bixby Police officer who shot a golden retriever last weekend.

The board met for three hours and will present their report to Bixby’s police chief on Monday. The review revolves around Officer Cory Forister. He was answering an alarm call at the home of John and Cathy Benzinger, when their dog, Fluppy was shot three times. The Benzinger's had to put Fluppy to sleep.

Officer Forister said he was acting in self defense. The Benzingers say Fluppy was tethered to the fence.

We may find out late Monday what action, if any, will be taken.
