Four months ago, a bald eagle was clinging to life, but Monday, he's ready to fly again. Back in February a driver spotted the eagle along I-35 near Stillwater. It had been shot.
The driver gathered up the eagle and delivered him to Wildcare in Noble. Now he's ready to return to the wild. Rondi Large, Wildcare Director: "we've had surgeries with him. We've had him on medication. We've got him over the broken wing and the broken leg. We've done a lot of physical therapy with him, and now is the final step to actually release him back to freedom."
Wildcare is the only eagle rehabilitation center in Oklahoma that's certified by the US Fish and Wildlife Department.
