Instead of March Madness, it's May Madness at the University of Tulsa. TU is hosting the Men's NCAA Tennis Championships.
The Final Four is going on this week at the Case Tennis Center on the TU campus. In the 2 ½ years since it was built, The Case Center has piled up endless praise from visitors, including John McEnroe who calls it the finest college tennis facility in the country.
The Chamber of Commerce figures the tournament will bring $2-million to $3-million to town. Visitors will likely boost the city's image too. Marc Tuttle with the University of Tulsa: "So when they go home, and they're visiting with their friends, they say hey TU's got a great thing going on, City of Tulsa has a great thing going on.â€
Tuesday night's team championship starts at 6. Tickets are $8. The individual championship matches will be going on throughout the week.
