(Oklahoma City-AP) -- A new survey finds Oklahomans support President Bush, Governor Henry, a lottery and casino-style gambling.

The Oklahoman Poll surveyed 500 people last week on the phone and through the Internet. Most respondents were conservative to moderate Democrats, were older than 50, white and lived in the Oklahoma City or Tulsa areas.

It found that Bush led Democratic Senator John Kerry 53 percent to 34 percent, while 13 percent were undecided or didn't respond.

Henry got a 60-percent approval rating from respondents, partly because of key items on his agenda, including the State-Tribal Gaming Act.

Fifty-eight percent of respondents supported placing tribal gaming machines at horse tracks, while 35 percent were against it.

The respondents also favored a lottery to help fund education by a 72 percent for to 24 percent against margin. Five percent were undecided.

And more than two-thirds of those polled supported amending the state constitution to recognize marriage as being only between a man and a woman.

The poll had a margin of error of plus or minus four-point-four percentage points.
