Alcohol may have been factor in fatal crash

(Blackwell-AP) -- A Blackwell woman has died from injuries sustained in a single car accident early this morning.

Oklahoma Highway Patrol says 21-year-old Shelly Oneth had massive head injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident that happened at about 1- this morning on a Kay County road.

Troopers say the driver of the car had been drinking and ran off the road and hit a bridge abutment.

The car went airborne for about 45 feet and landed in a creek embankment.

The three people in the car were not wearing their seat belts.
