(Noble-AP) -- An Amtrak passenger train struck and killed a person who had been walking along the railroad tracks in Noble.

Amtrak officials say the accident occurred between 9 and 9:15 AM at an intersection in the town about 35 miles south of Oklahoma City.

The Heartland Flyer was en route to Fort Worth, Texas, when the accident occurred.

Officials say the incident caused a 90-minute delay in the passenger train's route.
