70 students at Tulsa's Emerson Elementary school will possibly be tested for tuberculosis. A parental consent form for TB skin tests was sent home with the students Monday after another student at the school tested positive for the disease.
That student is currently out of school and on medication. According to the health department, only students and teachers who had direct contact with the students who tested positive will need to be tested.
Parents with any questions can call the Tulsa City-County Health Department at 595-4103.
