One person was killed and five others injured in a violent traffic accident in Okmulgee County this weekend.

Police say early Sunday a small car pulled out onto US Highway 75 near Preston and was broadsided by another vehicle.

One driver was killed and his passenger was airlifted to a Tulsa hospital. Four others in the Pontiac, including a baby, were also taken to hospitals.

Police say alcohol may have been involved.
