Some Broken Arrow Police officers put it in high gear to celebrate Special Olympics Thursday.
They participated in a 9-mile run along with the Broken Arrow Challenger team, which is made up of "Special Olympic" kids.
BA Police Major Norman Stephens: "It is tremendous satisfaction the kids, they make you feel like something special, and they make you feel like their glad your doing what your doing, but we are doing it for them."
The run took them from Forest Ridge to Main Street.
