Oklahoma Highway Patrol troopers to get pay raise

Governor Brad Henry has given Oklahoma Highway Patrol troopers a raise. <br><br>The raises add up to about a $6,000 pay hike for cadets and nearly a $10,000 increase for troopers with one year of experience.

Governor Brad Henry has given Oklahoma Highway Patrol troopers a raise.

The raises add up to about a $6,000 pay hike for cadets and nearly a $10,000 increase for troopers with one year of experience. Veteran troopers will get the same increase as other state employees.

The governor says he doesn't think the state can pay troopers enough for putting their lives on the line everyday.
