TULSA, Okla. (AP) _ Tulsa has added two junior college forwards to a team that failed to make the NCAA tournament last year and lost 20 games for the first time since 1988.
Yusuf Baker of the College of Southern Idaho and Vernell Davis of Northeastern Oklahoma A&M signed national letters of intent, Tulsa said Monday.
The 6-foot-8 Baker led College of Southern Idaho in scoring with 12.4 points per game and rebounding with 8.9 per game. He played one season in Idaho after transferring from South Florida.
Davis, a 6-foot-8 forward from Broken Arrow, averaged 9.7 points and 6.8 rebounds this past season at Northeastern Oklahoma.
