Nearly 800 middle and high school students from all over northeastern Oklahoma competed in design competitions at Tulsa Technology Center's annual Engineering Challenge Wednesday.

They built everything from ping pong launchers to robots. And it all might spark some of them to become an engineer, at least that is the hope. Scott Phillips with the Tulsa Engineering Challenge: "They don't consider this to be homework; they think it's a fun event when in reality they're learning alot when they're doing this event."

This is the 10th year for the challenge.
