Tulsa's newest set of city councilors are officially on the job. Eight of Tulsa's nine city councilors were sworn in at a special ceremony Monday at Gilcrease Museum.
Immediately following the ceremony, the councilors held their first meeting to elect a chairman and vice chairman. Phil Wood took office again as the city’s auditor.
There were only eight Tulsa city councilors sworn in Monday because the race in district 3 hasn't been decided yet. Voters in that east Tulsa district head to the polls Tuesday to decide the contested race.
The new election between David Patrick and Roscoe Turner was ordered after the first election was thrown out because some voters received the wrong ballots.
