(Oklahoma City-AP) -- Employees of SBC Communications in Oklahoma and other states are working without a contract while the union and company negotiate a new agreement.

About 2,500 unionized SBC workers in Oklahoma are covered by the contract that expired Saturday night. The Communications Workers of America union represents about 100,000 workers in all.

Union local president Jerry Butler in Oklahoma City says the sticking points include health care, job security, pensions and wages.
