(Kingfisher-AP) -- A fire that may have been sparked after severe weather rolled through the area has heavily damaged a movie theater in downtown Kingfisher.

There were no reports of injuries in the blaze, which began about 8:30 PM Saturday.

Authorities say most residents of the town lost power after a severe thunderstorm moved through the area between 7 and 8 PM.

Electricity was restored about 30 minutes later and officials believe the fire began after the power came back on.

Television footage showed firefighters attempting to control flames as shooting out of the building.
