(Oklahoma City-AP) -- The deans of three Oklahoma law schools say judges in the state need pay raises.
The deans of the University of Oklahoma, University of Tulsa and Oklahoma City University wrote a letter to the governor citing statistics about the judges' pay.
They say Oklahoma's top appellate judges are 41st in the nation in pay while state trial judges rank 42nd.
The deans say Oklahoma judges make less than judges from bordering states including Texas, Arkansas, Louisiana, New Mexico, Colorado and Kansas.
The law deans want Governor Henry to make judicial raises a priority as state revenues improve.
