New York - Four Oklahoma-based companies -- three in Oklahoma City -- made it onto the annual Fortune 500 list.
Fortune's annual rankings will be published in the magazine's April 5th edition.
The rankings are based on the companies' sales figures as reported in financial statements for 2003.
Tulsa-based energy trader Williams ranked the highest of Oklahoma's contingent at 98th.
Williams boasted revenue of more than $19.-point-two (B) billion dollars in 2003. Last year, the company ranked 196th.
Devon Energy in Oklahoma City was second in Oklahoma and 268th overall. The company had revenue of more than seven-point-three (B) billion dollars.
Oklahoma City-based gas and energy company Kerr-McGee was 412th and O-G-and-E Energy was new to the list, ranking 446th.
