(Washington-AP) -- A conservative group in Washington is considering endorsing Republican Tom Coburn in Oklahoma's U-S Senate race.

Coburn recently spoke to the Club for Growth, hoping for an endorsement that could mean a quick infusion of cash to his campaign.

Club director David Keating says no decision has been made on an endorsement, but that members had a very favorable reaction to Coburn.

The club supports candidates who favor lower taxes and less government spending.

Coburn is a former Congressman and faces former Oklahoma City Mayor Kirk Humphreys and state Corporation Commissioner Bob Anthony for the G-O-P nomination.
