Oklahoma First District Congressman John Sullivan answered questions in Tulsa Friday about a new Medicare and prescription drug plan for seniors.

Officials from several government agencies that oversee Medicare and various healthcare organizations were also on hand. Sullivan expressed his full support for the program, and encouraged others to look into the new plan. "I'm 100% behind this. I want to see it done. I'm committed to it. I'm committed to funding for cancer research."

The plan covers the cost of prescription drugs for 12-million low income seniors, and helps to bring generic drugs to the market at a much faster rate.
