A Tulsa County District Court judge has ordered a new election between Roscoe Turner and incumbent David Patrick for the Tulsa District 3 City Council seat.
Turner lost the February 3rd Democratic primary by 3 votes. But at a hearing Friday morning, the attorney for Patrick said he has learned that Republican voters "had" been allowed to vote in that Democratic primary.
He said workers in Precinct 20 gave Democratic ballots to Republican voters. The judge Friday voided the election and directed the County Election Board to ask the Governor to schedule a special election.
Turner says he believes the precinct workers made an honest mistake.
