(Tulsa-AP) -- A bankrupt Tulsa-based convenience store chain is removing its president and recommending he be fired.
GIT-n-Go says it's relieving Ron Ford of his responsibilities because he helped another company in its effort to buy the store chain.
GIT-n-GO says Ford's effort may hurt his ability to make decisions that are in the best interest of the company.
GIT-n-GO has closed about 40 of its 114 stores in Oklahoma and Missouri.
Its bankruptcy filing followed several quarters of substantial losses.
GIT-n-GO's parent company, distributor Hale-Halsell, plans to shut down its grocery business and file for bankruptcy soon. The Tulsa-based company laid off about 200 warehouse workers in January after losing a key customer.
