(Pryor-AP) -- A Mayes County woman has been released from custody Thursday after being arrested following the shooting death of her husband.
Teri Lynn Carver of Rose is accused of killing her husband -- Cecil Carver -- during an argument that began during a television talk show.
The 38-year-old woman was arrested on a first-degree murder complaint in the Tuesday shooting.
The district attorney's office requested her release while the incident is investigated further. An assistant district attorney says he has 30 days before deciding whether to file charges.
Authorities say the Carvers were smoking marijuana and watching an episode of The Montel Williams Show titled "Surviving a Lover's Attack." Sheriff's Lieutenant Pat Knowles says the fight began when Teri Carver compared Cecil Carver to some of the people on the show.
Knowles says Teri Carver has an abrasion on her head and claims her husband hit her before she shot him.
