(Tahlequah-AP) -- Some good news for schools in northeastern Oklahoma.
The Cherokee Nation will pay out $1.8-million to the schools Friday.
The money comes from the sales of Cherokee Nation car tags during the past year and is allocated based on the number of Cherokee students in each school.
