The American Red Cross is called in to help a family of 9 early Tuesday, after fire swept through their home.
Firefighters were called to a home near 46th Street North and Troost around 1 AM. The fire destroyed a bedroom and a bathroom. But the 2 adults and 7 children managed to make it to safety.
Accumulated lint in a dryer vent may have caused a wall to catch fire. Damage is estimated at $20,000.
