A Tulsa newspaper will soon work to bridge the gap between Hispanic and traditional American cultures.
La Semana Del Sur is a Hispanic newspaper in Tulsa. It has a weekly circulation of 5,000 copies. In about a month, the newspaper will also print its articles in English.
The newspaper's publisher says it's an exciting time for the paper. Publisher, Guillermo Rojas: "It's going to help the American audience to learn a little more about Hispanic problems and what's going on in Latin American countries. I think it will be kind of a bridge between the Hispanic and Anglo American culture."
The paper is distributed at 150 stores across the Tulsa area, including Owasso, Broken Arrow and Muskogee.
