DALLAS (AP) _ Oklahoma State guard John Lucas was named Big 12 Conference player of the week Monday, ending a three-week string of honors for Texas Tech's Andre Emmett.

Lucas, a junior, averaged 21 points and four assists in two victories last week. He had 22 points in a 77-56 win over Oklahoma and 20 in the Cowboys' 57-56 comeback win at Kansas State on Saturday. He had four assists in each game.

Missouri forward Linas Kleiza was selected newcomer of the week.

In the Tigers' 79-75 overtime win at Oklahoma on Saturday, the freshman from Lithuania had 13 points and nine rebounds. Earlier in the week, he had nine points and 12 rebounds in an 82-68 loss to Syracuse.

Kleiza leads the Big 12 in rebounding average at 9.1 per game.
