Former OSU star Sanders a finalist for Hall of Fame

(Canton, Ohio-AP) -- Former Oklahoma State All-American Barry Sanders is among 15 finalists for the Pro Football Hall of fame.
Sanders won the 1988 Heisman Trophy as a junior at OSU after setting 34 NCAA records, including most yards rushing and most rushing touchdowns.
He then entered the NFL draft and was selected by the Detroit Lions and rushed for more than 15-thousand yards during a ten-year NFL career.
Other finalists include John Elway, Richard Dent, Carl Eller, Jim Marshall and Cliff Harris.
The new class will elected in Houston on January 31st, the day before the Super Bowl.
