(Iowa City, Iowa-AP) -- Oklahoma State was confident and aggressive.
Iowa was neither.
What resulted was a loss of historic proportions for Iowa wrestling.
Top-ranked Oklahoma State won seven of the ten matches in a dominating performance and beat Number 5 Iowa 30-to-10 Sunday.
The loss matched the Hawkeyes worst defeat in 38 years.
The meet was as lopsided as the score indicated. Oklahoma State had three pins and the Cowboys were the aggressors in almost every match.
With the score tied at three after two matches, Oklahoma State ran off five straight victories to take control in its fourth consecutive victory over Iowa.
The last time Iowa lost by more than 20 points was a 39-to-0 drubbing by Oklahoma in 1966.
