(Cushing-AP) -- The Cimarron Correctional Facility at Cushing was locked down after some prisoners rebelled over a new heart-healthy diet.
Some prisoners refused to eat at the cafeterian on New Year's Day and administrators locked down the facility as a precaution.
The lockdown also meant the inmates couldn't avoid the new food because meals were delivered.
Cimarron spokeswoman Linda Hurst says the rebellion was unorganized and that a normal number of inmates were in the dining room Monday after the lockdown ended.
