Oklahoma had three chances to bring home a bowl victory. But OU, OSU and TU all lost their bowl games.
Folks are still talking about the Sooner's big loss to LSU Sunday night. The Tigers won the BCS Championship, 21 to 14. Some Sooner fans arrived home from New Orleans Monday. And News on Six reporter Patrina Adger caught up with them to get their reaction.
The big loss in the "Big Easy" was definitely the talk of the town Monday. Fans I talked to say they had a great time in Louisiana, but it was the LSU fans they could have done without. We caught up with Sooner fans flying into Tulsa International Airport Monday.
They say the flight home was much more subdued than the one going, not as much "Boomer Sooner" chanting. They say LSU fans are not only obnoxious but downright rude.
Matt Miller, OU fan: "I just don't want to see another LSU fan every again. I'm sick of 'em."
Jerry Williams, OU fan: "New Orleans is a dirty city. Thank God we're back in Oklahoma. Smokers, drinks everywhere you went. They kept saying Tiger bait, Tiger bait!"
Fans admit OU was outplayed and LSU deserved to win the championship title.
One fan believes the Sooners haven't played the same since learning their defensive coordinator, Mike Stoops, was leaving for a head coaching job in Arizona. They believe his departure has dampened the team's spirit.
