(Oklahoma City-AP) -- The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says troopers will be out in full force this holiday season.
Lieutenant Chris West says troopers will be watching especially for speeders and drivers who are drinking.
West says one person died on the state's roadways during the Christmas holiday last year and the driver was under the influence. He says four people died during the New Year's holiday and three of those were in alcohol-related crashes.
The Highway Patrol says there have been 628 traffic deaths in the state so far this year, down by 98 from the 726 who had died on Oklahoma roads at this time last year.
