(Tulsa-AP) -- A Yukon man is dead and another man critically injured after they were hit by a pickup truck while standing near Interstate 44 in Tulsa.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says Timothy Wayne Avera was killed in the accident shortly before 6 Tuesday night. Troopers say Byron Scott Decamp of Claremore is critically injured.

Troopers say the two were standing well of I-44 near their disabled cars when a pickup driven by Larry Dean Pearce of Broken Arrow ran off the road and hit them.
