The Arkansas doctor who shot murder suspect Scott Eizember picked up a reward in Depew Tuesday.

The town honored Doctor Sam Peebles Tuesday with an armload of awards - including two new pistols - and $1,800. It was his half of the reward for Eizembers capture.

Several hundred spectators watched the ceremony. "I was off for a week, and as many friends say, being off don't buy no biscuits, so I really appreciate this."

It was the first time the victims from Depew had met Doctor Peebles. They consider him a hero - he says he's just a survivor.
