(Oklahoma City-AP) -- New state Senator Debbe Leftwich says she has mixed emotions about the job.

Leftwich was sworn into office Monday afternoon to serve the remaining three years of the term of her late husband, Senator Keith Leftwich. Keith Leftwich died in September after a long battle with cancer.

Debbe Leftwich says she'll have her husband's office. She also plans to request assignments to some of the same committee's her husband served on, such as transportation, education, health care, insurance.
