(Oklahoma City-AP) -- Oklahoma's revenue outlook is getting brighter.

Tax collections were up $22.3-million in November, compared with a year ago.

A state Finance Office reported Tuesday that collections totaled $339.3-million. That's $9.2-million, or 2.8%, more than had been estimated.

Sales tax collections, a key barometer of economic activity, were up six-point-six (m) million dollars over last year's collections.

Scott Meacham, state finance director, says the signs continue to be generally positive for continued economic strength.

Meacham says strong sales tax collections bodes well for the holiday shopping season.
