(Oklahoma City-AP) -- One more candidate has filed to run for a vacant seat in the Oklahoma House of Representatives.
Tommy Thompson of Tulsa filed Tuesday for the House District 67 seat left open by Hopper Smith's resignation.
Thompson is executive director of the Jim Thorpe Association and a former member of the Tulsa Oilers and Tulsa Talons minor league sports teams.
The 55-year-old Thompson is a Republican.
He joins two other Republicans vying for the seat. Former Tulsa County Republican Party chairwoman Pam Peterson and attorney Greg Meier filed Tuesday.
Smith resigned after an Army National Guard group he commands was ordered to Afghanistan.
