There's a chance of snow in our forecast. That has many people thinking ahead to winter storm season.

At the City of Tulsa street maintenance department, more salt was delivered within the past couple of weeks. There is 6,000 tons of salt, and about 4,000 tons of sand ready to cover streets, just in case.

Paul Strizek, Tulsa Public Works "What we're hoping for this year is a safe year for our citizens. For our taxpayers, for our drivers, for the people who ride in school buses. That's what we're hoping for. Whatever happens, we want to provide a safe roadway system for people to drive on."

Last season, Tulsa saw its second heaviest snowfall on record with 20.4 inches of snow.
