Employees of the Small Business Administration were the first of at least eleven federal agencies to move into the new building Monday.

They spent the day unpacking boxes and arranging furniture. One worker who was with the SBA at the time of the bombing says the day was therapeutic for him and many of his colleagues.
Jerry Reese with the Small Business Administration: “It's kind of a fresh start in many ways. We get a new start, a new environment, we get rid of some of old things, physically, mentally, maybe even emotionally and move on, ya know, move forward."

Government officials say a variety of safety features make the new building one of the most secure in the country.

A formal grand opening ceremony is planned for next May.
