A dozen Oklahoma food-producers are saying thank you, by helping out hungry families in Green Country.

The 'Made in Oklahoma' coalition donated almost 20,000 pounds of food to the Community Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma. Chicken, steaks, and pecan pies will be heading to more than 450 charities across Green Country. The donation translates into more than 6,000 meals.

Karen Senger with Community Food Bank, "The Made In Oklahoma Coalition came to the food bank and said, 'we want to give back to our communities and we want to help alleviate hunger in Oklahoma."

The News on 6's parent company, Griffin Foods, donated the mustard for Wednesday's food drive.
