Thanksgiving has come a little early for some people very much in need. Tulsa Mayor Bill LaFortune helped serve Thanksgiving dinner to clients at the John 3:16 Mission Tuesday night.

This is part of a nationwide project called the "Great Thanksgiving Feast.â€ And here's what will happen. More than 500,000 meals will be provided this holiday season. So as you can see there's a great need out there.

John 3:16 expects to serve a traditional turkey dinner to about 1,500 people through Sunday.
