A religious controversy at a Tulsa charter school is over.
Weeks ago, several Christian students at Dove Science Academy Charter School wanted to start an after school Bible group. When they didn't hear an official answer they held a prayer in the school hallway, which was halted.
Muslim students are allowed to take breaks and pray at the school. This had concerned parents and students looking for answers at a meeting Thursday night.
The principal has announced Christian students can have a religious club before or after school and students can pray.
10th grader Joshua Clemons, "I'm happy with it, but I wish we could have resolved this a long time ago. I wish it wouldn't have had to come to all these parents to come here and all these students having to cause the protest for this to happen."
The principal says he was researching guidelines and waiting for approval from his board of directors before addressing the issue.
