An investigation is underway into a shooting that left a man seriously injured late Wednesday night.

It happened at the Trapeze Lounge near 31st and Garnett around 11:30 PM. Several people reported gunfire inside the club. Witnesses told police nothing seemed out of the ordinary when the gun went off. Tulsa Police Captain GB Poindexter: "from what I understand from the eyewitnesses, there was no fight inside the club. She said it almost seemed as though it was an accident."

Witnesses say two men were sitting next to each other when they heard the shots. The suspect ran from the scene after the shooting. He has not been arrested.

The victim's name has not been released.
