TULSA, Okla. (AP) _ Rep. Brad Carson said Wednesday he's getting back to his schedule, a day after having his gall bladder removed.
The Oklahoma Democrat was released from St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa on Tuesday after the hour-long surgery. He became ill with painful gallstones Sunday and went to the hospital Monday.
Carson returned to his Claremore home Tuesday evening after the surgery was deemed a success.
The two-term congressman said he appreciated the concern of many Oklahomans during his hospital stay.
``I'm glad to be getting back on my feet and returning to do the work of representing Oklahoma in Congress,'' he said.
